Words of Encouragement 4-17-24

Hey Church, our word for this week comes to us from the apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 1:18

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

I want to talk to you a little today about how if you’ve accepted the gift of God, of salvation through Christ and are allowing the Holy Spirit to do his work of regeneration in your life (through prayer, scripture, study, fellowship, obedience to him etc.) then you indeed do have the “power of God” in your life every day.  I want to encourage you today to continue to nurture and grow your relationship with him, by spending time with him in the ways previously mentioned. Our relationship with God must be two sided in order to grow. The old saying applies to “You get out (results) according to what you put in (invest).  I also want to encourage you to utilize that power that is available to you.  As Paul also says in his prayer for the Ephesian Church in Ephesians 4:17-19 “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his Holy people (church) and his incomparable great power for us who believe.  That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted (power of the Holy Spirit) when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at the right hand of God in heaven.”

God Bless
